Electrical Installations
We are now pleased to announce that we can offer a complete electrical installation service with our own in-house fully qualified electricians. We operate a 24-hour emergency call out system to an engineer manned mobile phone, already responding to Education authorities, insurance companies and all our commercial companies.

There are many practical, moral , and legal reasons why you should have your portable appliances tested......
1. Electricity can kill! Every year there are around 1000 incidents reported to the HSE involving burns, scolds and electric shocks....of these accidents 15 are fatal!

What is it? Do I have to do it?
Pat Testing or Portable Appliance Testing is a safety test performed on electrical appliances fitted with a plug. This should be part of your Company Health & Safety Policy. 'No danger must result from the use of portable appliances'... as stated by The Electricity at Work Regulations. They place a legal responsibility on 'everyone' in the workplace to comply and take reasonable steps to ensure this does not occur.
The Health & Safety at Work Act (1974) is to ensure employers, employees and the self employed fulfil an obligation to ensure the safety of all person using all work premises. There are varying frequencies of the testing regime dependent upon the risk or danger.
A rack mounted server system within an air conditioned restricted access area could be inspected on a 2 year cycle. A server in a cabinet but accessible could require a yearly inspection but industrial premises, construction sites and commercial kitchens may require inspection or testing as frequently as every month.
The scope extends from the large distribution systems to small pieces of electrical equipment ie, mobile phone chargers and even some battery operated equipment.
